Our vice-president and PR coordinator attended the Afghan Diaspora Conference in Copenhagen, organized by DRC (Danish Refugee Council) on 15 and 16th of November. During this two-day conference, there were four important points on the agenda:
- DRC sharing the results of the study “Afghan Diaspora in Europe”
- Discuss how to improve the lives of Afghan refugees, the relationship of Afghan Diaspora with their host country and Afghanistan on different levels.
- Presenting the draft of the Afghan National Diaspora Engagement Policy Draft (ANDEP) made by the Afghan government.
- Afghan government officials in dialogue with the Afghan Diaspora to improve the draft of the ANDEP policy.
There was also a lot of exchange of ideas and suggestions among fellow Afghan diaspora organizations. It was inspiring to hear experiences, share success stories and challenges. KEIHAN Foundation would like to thank DRC for their warm welcome and hospitality during this conference.
